1. Overview

MAttendance notifies people in three ways: In-App (the bell and the Notifications page in the portal and mobile app), Push (to the phone) and Email. Most notifications are sent automatically; an Admin can also send announcements.

2. Your Notifications

Open Notifications from the sidebar. The Received tab lists what was sent to you, grouped by day, with the category of each.

  • Filter by category: Attendance, Leave, Anomaly, Payroll, System, General.
  • Click Mark All Read to clear the unread count.
  • Delete individual notifications you no longer need.

In the mobile app, tap the bell to see the same list.

4. Sending an Announcement (Admin)

  1. On the Notifications page click Send Notification.
  2. Enter a Title (for example "Office Closed Tomorrow") and the Message.
  3. Optionally Attach Image — JPG or PNG, up to 1 MB.
  4. Choose a Category.
  5. Under Send To pick one:
    • All Employees
    • Specific Employees — search and select people
    • By Role — all Managers, all HR or all Admins
  6. Tick the Delivery Channels: In-App, Push Notification, Email. At least one is required.
  7. Click Send.

The Sent tab keeps a record of each announcement: when it was sent, the channels, the recipients and who sent it.

5. If Someone Is Not Receiving Notifications

  • Push: on the phone, check that notifications are allowed for MAttendance and that the employee has logged in to the app at least once on that device.
  • Email: check the address on the employee's profile and the spam folder.
  • In-App: these always arrive; ask the employee to open the Notifications page.
