1. Overview
Attendance sits in two places in the portal's sidebar. My Attendance, in the My Workspace section, is there for everyone and holds your own pages. Attendance, in the My Team section for managers and the Organisation section for HR and Admin, is where you look at other people's days.
| Page | Menu | Use it to | Who |
|---|---|---|---|
| My Calendar | My Attendance | See your own month, day by day | Everyone |
| Regularizations | My Attendance | Request or approve a correction to punch times | Everyone / approvers |
| WFH Check-Ins | My Attendance | Log or verify a work-from-home day | Everyone / approvers |
| Health Declaration | My Attendance | Submit a daily health status | Everyone |
| Daily View | Attendance | See the team's attendance for one day | Managers (their team), HR, Admin |
| Monthly Calendar | Attendance | See one employee's whole month | Managers (their team), HR, Admin |
2. Daily View
Go to Attendance → Daily View (managers, HR and Admin). A manager sees their direct reports; HR and Admin see everyone. Each row shows the employee, their status, shift, in and out times, total work time and every punch of the day (with the method used). A Late tag appears where the employee came in after the allowed time.
- Change the date, or click Today to jump back.
- Search by name, and filter by status or department. Clear filters resets them.
Punch timeline and direct adjustment
Click an employee's row to open their punch timeline for the day: shift, work hours, break time and every Punch In, Punch Out, Break Start and Break End.
A manager (for their own team), HR or Admin can correct the day without waiting for a request:
- In the timeline click Adjust.
- Enter the correct In Time and Out Time and a Reason (missed punch, system error, and so on).
- Click Apply Adjustment.
Punching from the portal
Employees who are allowed the Web punch method see a My Attendance panel on the dashboard with Punch In, Punch Out, Start Break and End Break, today's punches, and first-in, last-out and work time. Location is captured if the browser is given permission. Someone whose Web method is switched off still sees the panel with today's status and punches, but without the buttons; turn Web on under Employees → [Employee] → Access Permissions. For everyone except HR and Admin, the dashboard below it is personal: the month so far, leave balance and their own pending requests, and for a manager their team's day and what is waiting for their approval.
3. Monthly Calendar
Go to Attendance → Monthly Calendar, choose an employee and a month (a manager chooses from their direct reports). Employees see the same calendar for themselves under My Attendance → My Calendar, where clicking a day shows that day's punches. Each day is coloured by status — present, absent, leave, half-day, holiday, week-off, WFH and so on — with a legend below the calendar. Days marked L were late arrivals. The total work time for the month is shown at the top.
4. Regularization (Correcting Punches)
Regularization is how an employee asks for their punch times to be corrected — for example when they forgot to punch in.
Employee: submit a request
- Go to My Attendance → Regularizations and click New Request.
- Choose the date, enter the correct In and Out times, and give a reason.
- Click Submit Regularization. The request appears under My Requests with its status.
The same can be done in the mobile app under History → Regularization.
Approver: approve or reject
- Open the Pending Approval tab.
- Check the requested times and the reason.
- Click Approve or Reject.
On approval the attendance for that day is recalculated from the corrected times, and the employee is notified.
5. WFH Check-Ins
On a work-from-home day the employee records a check-in instead of punching at the office.
Employee
- Go to My Attendance → WFH Check-Ins and click Check In.
- Enter the Task Description — what you plan to work on today — and any notes for your manager.
- Submit. The check-in time and location are saved with the entry.
In the mobile app this is under History → WFH Check-in.
Manager / HR
Open the Pending Verification tab, review each check-in (time, task, notes, location) and click Verify to confirm it.
6. Health Declaration
Where your organisation asks staff to confirm they are well before working, employees use My Attendance → Health Declaration.
- Click Submit Today's Declaration.
- Enter your temperature in °C.
- Tick I have symptoms if applicable and describe them.
- Click Submit Declaration.
One declaration is submitted per day. Declaration History on the same page lists past entries with date, temperature, symptoms and submission time.
7. Breaks
Employees start and end breaks from the mobile app or from the My Attendance panel in the portal (see Mobile App → Breaks). Break time is tracked against the minimum break set on the employee's shift (see Shifts & Attendance Rules).
8. Attendance Statuses
MAttendance works out each day's status automatically from punches, the shift, leave, holidays and the rules you set:
Present · Absent · Late · Half Day · Leave · Holiday · Week Off · Comp Off · WFH · On Duty
The thresholds that turn a day into Late or Half Day are configured in Settings → Rules — see Shifts & Attendance Rules.
